West Bali National Park consists of primary monsoon forest, mangrove forest, lowland rain forest, savanna and sea grass vegetation types. Only with designated head guides, the Park is suitable for walking and trekking and is an educational excursion for the young.

Full of birds, monkeys, and Deer (the park includes Menjangan Island which means Deer Island as deer used to swim more than a mile to reach the small island), the park is a great example of lush biodiversity and is the highlight of West Bali.

It is also the last refuge home to the famous and almost extinct Starling bird.

A visit to the local temples is a must for those who seek the cultural aspect of the Island.

The Pulaki Temple is a shrine to worship the greatness of Sanghyang Widhi (almighty God) and is inhabited by many monkeys. The temple is flocked throughout the day by Hindu people due to its religious importance in the Balinese belief system. Right across Temple Pulaki, is the Pabean temple which is situated in front of the sea and guests can enjoy the beautiful sunset.

Nearby is one of the most beautiful temples in Bali, Pura Melanting, situated within a green valley below picturesque hills.

Traditions in this remote part of the island are well kept and ceremonies regularly take place here. Often you will hear traditional music. For the daring ones, we encourage our guests to follow the music and attend these local ceremonies as Balinese people are very friendly and consider it an honor to have guests whether it is wedding, or the birthday of a baby (ceremonies take place at the age of 3,6 months and 1or 2 years), or a traditional funeral (procession along the village, cremation and offering of the ashes in the sea).

In your afternoon free spare time, guests can take a walk in the village just across Taman Selini. Guests will witness a traditional way of living, with kids playing in the fields, and the grownups busy in their agricultural activities or just relaxing and greeting you with warm smiles.

We offer simple and exciting bakery and cooking classes. The courses are designed for absolute beginners to enthusiast home cooks. Courses are private and can fit to guests’ schedules for 1-2-3 day classes. Guests can select from dishes of our Indonesian and international menu to bakery products like cookies and French cakes, desserts and patisseries.

The Bali Sea in front of Pemuteran Bay is ideal for fishing. As part of our complimentary services, we can recommend a traditional type of fishing with the locals on a traditional boat. Guests are encouraged to bring their own equipment or use traditional fishing gear and methods.

For inland activities, guests can rent bicycles and explore the village or just stay in the hotel and enjoy a beach front massage from the therapeutic hands of our dear Mrs.Panggat.

For book lovers, our open air library will make our guests forget time and get lost in their favorite readings from our wide collection of novels and magazines. Board games such as chess and monopoly, are also provided as well the option to watch cable TV and DVDs.
