ABOUT NORTH BALI
North Bali has plenty of choices for guests to explore. Although the island shares the same religious belief, North Bali has its own distinct cultural heritage. Singaraja, the center of North Bali, was the old capital of Bali and in older times the home to the kingdom of Buleleng which once ruled from Java to East Indonesia.
Guests can also explore the local market at Singaraja or Seririt, or can take short trips to the numerous waterfalls, lakes and therapeutic hot springs nearby or get a short boatride and enjoy the dolphins that frolic in front of Lovina beach.
ABOUT PEMUTERAN
Pemuteran is a sleepy fishing village in the more secluded north-western part of the island. The lush mountain range of West Bali National Park forms an idyllic backdrop for the resorts.
Pemuteran bay became the new home for many locals. They relocated in this area when the volcanic and mystical mountain Gunung Agung (home of the Gods) erupted many decades ago and destroyed many villages, bringing people to settle in Pemuteran, where they have preserved their traditions.
With its long beaches of white and black sand, Pemuteran encourages playful afternoons, as well as romantic walks along the bay.
