History
In a location that evokes a forgotten Bali as it was more than 30 years ago, the owner’s vision was to create something that combined her entrepreneurial spirit with giving back to the community.
With the help of her daughter who is a student of both design and the arts history of Indonesia, this passion slowly transformed into a self sustainable hotel that supports more than 25 families.
Traditional bungalows are built from natural materials to fit in well with the local surroundings using the skills of local craftsmen, and plastics are kept to a minimum. The hotel is mildly decorated with unique and rare antiques, some restored and some in their original forms. Gardens are clean, neat and left to run a little wild, in order to let nature express itself freely.
The philosophy of the hotel is to make guests feel like coming home and provide a balance between comfort and simple luxury within a natural unpretentious environment.
